Ever started a diet then gave up after the first week, like the vast majority of people I have, why does this happen? You get ready for the diet ’starting on Monday’, on Sunday night you write down your meals for the week, calorie counting every meal making sure you don’t go over by even 0.5 calorie. You awake on Monday morning have your breakfast, doing well!! So you start to watch the clock “when’s my next meal?” How come when you do a diet you are always hungry? Well I am. Is it because I am on a diet or am I really hungry? Do you know that some foods actually make you feel hungry? There is some interesting facts about food that I didn’t know here are just a few.
1. Your sugary cereal breakfast will make you feel more hungry, as will your juice.
2. Will eating after 6pm, 8pm or even 10pm make me even fatter, not true, it is down to how much you eat during the day.
3. Celery and cabbage soup are reported to burn off calories, no food burns off calories, caffeine will speed up your metabolism (the way we burn off calories.)
4. Pasta will have the same effect as your cereal in the morning again making you hungry.
The best diets are the ones which are realistically achievable, try smaller portions instead of fad dieting this will help and as always self control!!
