We all love going out for dinner, indulging ourselves in food luxuries such as 16oz steaks, chips, onion rings and don’t forget the chocolate pudding - all great food, if enjoyed now and again. In recent times more and more people have ditched the home made cooked dinner in favour of the takeaway. This has now caused the UK to have the highest percentage of obese people in Europe. With nearly 55% of the population being overweight or obese the cost to the NHS is spiralling out of control, experts predict it could £45billion by the year 2050.

Its now official, the French women are the slimmest, in-fact in they have the highest number of clinically underweight woman in Western Europe. But only half of them can see this, what do they do so different from the rest of us. A resent survey conducted found that French women set themselves very high standards when it comes to the weight loss battle of the bulge. They exaggerate their weight, and look at themselves as fat, (thought that was the eating disorder ‘bulimia’) but who am I , they constantly stress about their weight but its not just the women in-fact the report also says that the French male is amongst the thinnest in Western Europe also.

Weight Loss - Obesity Hits New Heights

Obesity has increased dramatic in the last 25 years in the UK, it is estimated that around 30,000 people will die this year. By 2010 more than 6.6 million men and 6 million women will be classed as obese, that’s 20% of all men and 25% of all women in the UK. This makes shocking reading. Where did it all start to go wrong?
