Losing Weight the Crazy Way

Losing weight is never easy, and people will try almost anything, to lose weight. Here we look at some of the more outlandish diets (we’ll, which we feel, as outlandish) that people still try … it perhaps it shows the desperation that people suffer from in trying to win the battle with the bulge.

The Cabbage Soup Diet, all you have to do is, you guest it eat, mash boil cabbage. In my opinion this is for single people, would you like to stay with a person that is eating nothing but cabbage all day?

The Chewing Diet, this is a diet from the Edwardian times, each bite full must be chewed at least 32 times which can take as long as 30 seconds per mouthful, after chewing the head is placed backwards and the food ‘slides’ down, any food that does not slip down is to be spat out.

The Caveman Diet, (Palaeolithic) this diet encourages people to eat what was available 10,000 years ago (try getting a Mammoth into a modern day freezer) which mainly consisted of plants, fruit and lean meat and fish. This one doesn’t sound too bad actually.

The Hallelujah Diet, this diet is taken from Genesis Chapter 9 verse 3, (vegan diet) only cook 15% of your food, plenty of sunshine and no stress (if only).

The Tapeworm Diet, this will make you lose weight, in the 1800s woman were sold tablets containing these parasites to help them lose those extra inches. (Oooohhhh!)

The Cotton Ball Diet, don’t laugh celebrities used to eat cotton balls (sometimes placed in gelatine) very low in calories, but to be honest very boring. This diet is very dangerous as you are eating cotton very high in
fibre, will take away hunger but cotton in your digestive tract is not good.

Japanese Diet Water, fed up drinking the fattening council pop? Well this low fat, low calorie, in fact low in everything is for you.

Diet Sunglasses, these blue tinted glasses make your food look less appetising, in my opinion do you think if you are starving that sunglasses are going to stop you?

Chop Sticks, Diet Fork, this plastic ‘device’ is supposed to be smaller so you take less food. Its supposed to be duller so you lose interest quickly and leave your food. Hahahaha.

Last but not least was Frenchman Michel Lotito, he has one of the worlds strangest diets, metal, glass and rubber. He once ate an aircraft which took him nearly 2 years to finish.

Hope you enjoyed reading about some peoples attempt to lose weight. Its always good to lose weight but you have to remember that dieting alone is not the cure for your weight loss you must also exercise regularly.
