Getting in Shape for Summer

Want to look great for the Summer, lose the ‘love handles’ or dump the ‘spare tyre’? Well there are several things that can be done to achieve this. Diets are a great way to lose weight but as we all know this takes a lot of will power, something that most of are not to good at keeping. There are many ‘aids’ on the market to aid weight loss, which are also very good when used alongside a controlled diet.

So how can we lose weight cheaply and efficiently? The best way is to eat less calories than your body actually needs, for women this has been estimated at 1940 and 2550 for men, although this can change according to your age, weight, height and lifestyle. A person that requires 2500 calories but eats only 2000 will lose 1lb a week. An average person will burn 30% of their calories by doing normal every day things, walking, cleaning hanging and hanging out the washing.

There are several other everyday exercises you can do to help in weight loss, wee all know that we will take the car to the shops, so park it in the furthest car parking space so you have to walk that little bit further, sitting at your computer move your legs, tap your feet, use the toilet upstairs, twist your bum these will all help burn extra calories.

Lastly, there is evidence to suggest that eating small amounts of food more frequently rather than having a large meal less frequently helps sustain your metabolism, this will also help with your food craven.
