With 26 bones, 33 joints and more than 100 tendons, ligaments and muscles per foot its no wonder our feet feel the pressure when we put on a little weight. Our feet are the most used part of our body, an average person walks 115,000 miles that’s enough to walk round the world 4 times. There are many complaints associated with weight gain, our feet seem to be one part of our body that we all neglect.

Ever started a diet then gave up after the first week, like the vast majority of people I have, why does this happen? You get ready for the diet ’starting on Monday’, on Sunday night you write down your meals for the week, calorie counting every meal making sure you don’t go over by even 0.5 calorie. You awake on Monday morning have your breakfast, doing well!! So you start to watch the clock “when’s my next meal?” How come when you do a diet you are always hungry? Well I am. Diet Meal Replacement Program

Fed up with that diet? what about the meal replacement program, these are foods that have a constant calorie count, normally in a bar, shake or powder, which can be mixed with water or milk. These convenient drinks or bars are great when you are in the office or at the gym. A diet meal replacement should usually provide your body with 1200 - 1600Kcal per day. They work by supplying your body with less calories than it actually requires thus using your fat stores. In recent times more and more people have ditched the home made cooked dinner in favour of the takeaway. This has now caused the UK to have the highest percentage of obese people in Europe. With nearly 55% of the population being overweight or obese the cost to the NHS is spiralling out of control, experts predict it could £45billion by the year 2050.

The Dangers of Binge Eating

When people mention anything to do with ‘Binge’ we automatically think of drink. In today’s society we are constantly under bombardment from advertisers to eat, eat and when we thought we have had enough - eat some more. Its no wonder that binge eating(also known as compulsive eating) is so common among men and women in there late teens and early 20s. This eating disorder often sees those affected eating in private and eating very large amounts and eating faster than normal, they will eat till completely full, they will eat even if they are not hungry.
